The model is currently on view at LUOMUS – The Finnish Museum of Natural History in Helsinki.Sacabambaspis is named after the village of Sacabamba in Bolivia, where the first fossils of the genus were found. About the model creator/authordr. Elga Mark-Kurik (1926 – 2016), Estonian geologist and paleontologist worked as a researcher at the Academy of Sciences of Estonia and later at the Institute of Geology at Tallinn University of Technology. During her lifetime she published more than 130 scientific articles.Her research works covered the field of paleoichthyology.Fundamentally researched crustaceans and turtles, their taxonomy, morphology and biostratigraphy, mainly of the Devonian and Silurian deposits.
