Original Vel Sporting News was founded in the year 1929 by Shri. Duraiswamy Mudaliar. It was started with the head office in Madras only. The book covers all details pertaining to horse racing, inclusive of track work, results and index. The company was expanded over the years, having branch offices at Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mysore and Kolkata. Known as the bible of Indian horse racing among race goers, Original Vel race programme is available all over India. It is currently owned and run by the 4th generation heir B.S.Vishno Priya who is also the editor and publisher of this publication.
